How much Shaving oil should I use?
It depends on your beard type and density. As a guide, pour about twice the size of your thumbnail into your palm. Then massage into your beard using circular motions.
How often should I use Village Barber 100% natural Shaving oil?
For best results, use it every time you shave.
Do I need shaving soap, cream or foam as well?
No. Village Barber Shaving oil is formulated to give a close, comfortable shave on its own.
If you enjoy using a quality soap or cream over the oil, that’s fine too. You’ll still get an unbeatable shave. But always apply the oil first.
Can I use Village Barber Shaving oil if I have a nut allergy?
The standard Shaving oil uses pure Sweet almond oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis) as a base, so it isn’t suitable for anyone with a nut allergy.
But it can be made with another pure, natural oil such as sunflower, delivering the same guaranteed results.
Shaving Balm
How much balm should I use after shaving?
Post-shave balm is highly concentrated, so use it sparingly — about the size of your thumbnail.
Massage well into your skin. After applying, your skin should feel slightly damp. If it doesn’t, apply a little more.
Can I use the Post-shave balm if I have a nut allergy?
The balm contains a small amount of Sweet almond oil. If you have a nut intolerance, it’s not recommended.
Due to its current formula, there isn’t a nut-free version available at the moment.
Beard Growth Oil
How much Beard growth oil should I use?
Pour 6–8 drops into your hand, depending on the length of your beard. Rub it into the skin under your beard, then gently comb your fingers through the hair.
How quickly will my beard grow?
Beard growth oil won’t make your beard grow faster, but it will help your hair grow stronger and healthier.
You’ll see results over time as your beard becomes thicker and better conditioned.

Pour 6–8 drops into your hand, depending on beard length. Rub into the skin under your beard, then work through the hair.
How long will it take to improve my beard?
If your beard is in poor condition, you may need to use slightly more oil during the first week.
With daily use, you’ll notice your beard becoming softer, stronger and more nourished.
